Pets love to be in their own space - consistency in sights, smells, etc. allows the pet to remain at ease. New environments can be stressful and upsetting for pets. Their own home is familiar and reduces stress when pet parents are away.
A consistent routine is important to pet mental and physical health.
Greensboro Barks and Recreation will tailor each appointment to the needs of the pet. We understand every pet is unique and has its own routine when it comes to eating, exercise, potty breaks, play time, medicine administration and more. We will do our best to make sure your pet(s) routine will be altered as little as possible while they are in our care.
Individual, personalized care and attention.
Pets will receive one-on-one attention with their particular pet sitter. This allows a personal connection and bond to form between the pet sitter and the pet putting the pet further at ease.
Pet safety is a priority, particularly in the event of emergency.
In case of medical or physical emergencies, Greensboro Barks and Recreation will make the pet(s) health and recovery its primary goal. This includes taking the pet to an emergency veterinary clinic if necessary.
Peace of mind for our clients.
There will be one pet sitter or dog walker assigned to each client. Our pet sitters develop a relationship with their clients based on reliability, trust and professional.ism. Our pet sitters engage in regular communication with clients and provide updates and pictures of their pets.
Client homes remain secure and tended to.
In addition to caring for pets, our pet sitters will engage in basic household tasks such as checking the mail, watering plants, etc. Pet sitters will also visit the home at least once per day, ensuring the house remains secure and safe at all times.

Our Services
Standard 15 Minute Visit $16+
Typically used for a quick drop in visit for cat sitting or other pet sitting as needed.
Standard 30 Minute Visit $20+
Our most popular service - provides enough time for the pet sitter to fulfill all necessary duties AND give the pets a little extra TLC, love and attention.
Standard 60 Minute Visit $40+
For those pets that just need some extra, loving attention or have excess energy and need a long walk or an extended round of playtime.
Overnight Stay $65+
For vacation clients only. The pet sitter will stay overnight at the client’s house - the price includes morning and evening feeding and potty breaks as well as any additional house-sitting tasks such as checking the mail, water plants, etc. Overnight hours are generally from 9pm-7am.
Please note our services are subject to additional fees at the discretion of the company. A $10 holiday fee will apply as well as a $5 additional pet fee for homes with more than 3 pets.
